I completely rebuilt this guitar several years ago, it now looks like this. (i left the old pics for reference, see below)
This was my first guitar build project!!!
Name: Éric Tremblay
Year built: 2003, dismantled and rebuilt in 2005 or 2006
Serial number on neck plate: 01060112 (Suspect it comes from a KE3 or DK2)
Built to my personal specifications. Intonation is perfect, awesome
playability & sound.
H/S/H pickup layout H/H with split coil
- Output jack on upper wing
- "Critical spots" reinforced with steel plates and epoxy, ie. bridge area and wing tips
Left strap button through neck plate Re-carved entire neck joint as set-neck
Cutaway and rounded-off neck joint Set-neck construction. No cutaway.
- Back of neck shaved off at neck joint area
- Rosewood fretboard, painted satin black
- Pickups: Kent Armstrong "Ultra-distortion" passive humbuckers,
cheap "no-name" single coil
(slightly modified) EMG PA-2 gain booster
- Custom (completely wacko) electronics
- Original Floyd-Rose bridge
Green/purple flip-flop paint finish w/ white double pinstripes Silver grey with cheap pinstripe tape
