Vic Morrow was born February 14, 1929 in the Bronx, New York, dropped out of high school to join the Navy, and went back to school to study law. While at college, he changed course and decided to pursue acting. His acting career began in the fifties and ended with his tragic death in the eighties.

These are just some of the few facts one can find about Mr. Morrow. Do an internet search and you’ll find a handful of short biographies, pictures, and filmographies. Search the library and you can find him mentioned in a couple of books - perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to find some articles. I’ve found that what is out there often portrays wildly differing views of the man. Who was the real Vic Morrow? I don’t know. But I’ve enjoyed much of his work over the years since he first made a fan of a little girl who loved to watch Combat. And no matter where the truth lies, the truth is, Vic Morrow was a very talented man. Here’s a salute to the actor, director, writer, filmmaker – to Vic Morrow, the artist who wanted to paint with all the colors - and to the colorful work he left us.
